1977 Maserati Bora 4.9

A matching-numbers Bora, with the original black interior.

Bora Zwart 1
Now black, the original paint colour was yellow.

This Maserati Bora 4.9 litre left the factory in February 1977. Its original colour, "Giallo" (Yellow) with Salchi code 20Y305, was a popular and bold choice in the seventies. But the colour is still vibrant, as the Maserati Grecale Trofeo also wears it. Below is a photo, taken during the 2009 Amelia Island Concours d'Elegance showing a Bora and a Ghibli in that particular "Giallo".

According to the Maserati Classiche documents available with this Bora, the factory sold it for 16.500 USD to Maserati Automobiles Inc. in Los Angeles. The car remained throughout its life in the USA. Currently, the engine is not running but turns freely. Its condition requires restoration with the possibility of preserving certain elements. It is now stored and for sale in Europe.
