Familia mea, robur meum*

Not a week goes by without receiving pleasant phone calls and emails with compliments from our readers. Our promise to delve into Maserati’s glorious past and discover the brand’s exciting future while focusing on photography, design, lifestyle, and architecture is appreciated across the globe.

Long before the first edition was published, I was surprised to discover people’s willingness to contribute stories or provide access to archives, cars and events. With the publication of this third magazine, it’s fair to say Maserati enthusiasts, regardless of age or location, are happily demonstrating they are part of the Famiglia Tridente.
With Alfieri, we are strengthening the family ties, and we aim at expanding our family by spreading the gospel. A Maserati sales manager in the South of Europe showed his appreciation by labelling Alfieri magazine as “a grass-roots initiative and precisely what Maserati needs”.
We fully agree because, at a time when Maserati is reinventing itself once again, they can surely use support from all of us. And because we want Maserati to do well, it is our prerogative to be critical and question the company and the direction it is taking.
When looking at Maserati’s future, I am reminded of a quote you’ll find in this issue: “Italians manoeuvre their way through drama very well, so it always seems like it’s not going to work, and in the end, it works.” With that in mind, we’re eagerly awaiting the introduction of the Grecale and the new service offering from the Classiche Department.
In the meantime, please accept the warmest wishes of the Season from our family to yours.
